and happy new year
I don’t want Zaia to get any bigger!! she’s so delightful right now. She is alert, cuddley and smiles tons. She is rarely unhappy (she has an occasional two-day fussmaster time every few weeks. i think it’s growth spurts) and can entertain herself (or me) for long periods of time.
She sits in her boppy and smiles at me (which she’s doing right now). she loves to be in her sling.. whether sleeping or facing outward and watching the world as we go to the farmers market or store.
She watches her mobile with fascination for up to an hour.. and coos and giggles.
and she spits up like you would not believe. it recently got a bit worse. but she doesn’t seem to mind, so i try not to…although it’s a challenge to avoid having to change my own clothing as well as hers!
things she currently loves: hugo her giraffe mobile (over her changing pad), being naked on her changing pad, the dragonfly in her mobile, her binky, smiling at us, eating, and the stick-on mural on her wall.

Okay, inspired by this blog post and your recent comments on ADL, I’m giving my KKAFP another try. First I discovered I’d been wearing it on the wrong shoulder, so I hope that’s going to help. But I tried doing that outward-facing carry, and while it looks just like yours, I worry that the fabric being right at neck level is going to choker her. Not to death, or anything, but just make her uncomfortable. Do you find that with ZB? Or is ZB’s head control good enough that that doesn’t seem to be an issue? Anyway, she’s adorable, you look awesome and happy, and I want your sunglasses.
I love my kkafp so! I wear it on my left shoulder for the cradle carry but on my right shoulder for all the other carries. my right shoulder has had a torn rotator cuff, so it oculd be more comfy but i gotta say it isn’t bad at all even with that!
she doesn’t seem to notice it at her neck at all, and her neck strength is good enough that unless she falls asleep she is great. I put my left arm her at her neck/head level if she does fall asleep and then she just leans against my arm. she’s super super comfortable in tehre. she sits cross legged like a little buddha baby and hasn’t cried once in there
